2013 Chamber Annual Meeting and Dinner

   

Monroe Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Dinner will be held on Tuesday, February 12th.  Our guest speaker will be Mr. Mark Burwell.

As a compelling author and speaker, Mark Burwell informs, challenges, inspires and leaves you with a new and powerful understanding of your business, community, customers, staff and lives.  As a successful serial entrepreneur, mentor, business architect, columnist, non-profit and senior executive, he draws on over 35 years of working with 2,000 entrepreneurs.
 
Mark was awarded as Green Bay's small business person of the year, as well as one of the "Fabulous Fifty" as an evolutionary entrepreneur.  Mark took a Wisconsin based menswear firm as President and CEO and grew it to regional level from Minneapolis to Milwaukee and later added a catalog division which was nationally recognized.  As a successful entrepreneur, mentor and small business leader.
He was honored as "Wisconsin's Small Business Advocate of the Year" by the U.S Small Business Administration by creating a level playing field for small businesses.  The University of Wisconsin Stout awarded him as the "Distinguished Alumni Award" of the year for his career, business and civic achievements. He received a bachelors degree in Business Administration and Public Address while becoming a collegiate All-America in track.
Mark has served on numerous Chamber of Commerce, business and civic boards as Chairman and President as well as statewide boards and advisory panels. As President/Owner of Evolutions Business Group he has lectured and consulted nationally as well as on the international level in Ireland, Montreal Canada and Russia. AREA (American Russian Enterprise Alliance).
Mark received the "2008 Innovation Champion Award" at the annual Ideas to Profit conference. The award was given for his work in advancing innovative entrepreneurship in Wisconsin and the positive community effect it has had.
Mark currently leads as the National Executive Director for the Urban Hope Entrepreneurial Center, known as "E-Hub"(Entrepreneur Hub) whereby he has been the architect for the successful model and concepts in practice.
